Good Morning My Friends,

It is a very hot and muggy day with large accumulations of rain threatening so we decided we would quickly go to the dollar store to buy new paint brushes so that we could make the chocolate bombs that Uncle Jim and Auntie Laurel left during their visit.

On our way to the Dollar Store

This is what happens when you go for a paint brush with 8 year olds:)

Drinking our Bombs--6 thumbs up Uncle Jim and Auntie Laurel

Olive and Leo get an allowance of a dollar a day when they are staying with me. Payday is always Fridays. We also choose one day a week to try and clean the house and this hard work earns them an additional $3.00. Each of us chooses two rooms to clean and after the work, we conduct a tour on our masterpieces!

Leo conducting the tour of his CLEAN upstairs bathroom.

Olive showing off her CLEAN bedroom and living room.

My afternoon break--Olive and Leo's hour of screen time.

My pride--one basket full of CLEAN children's clothes and one basket full of CLEAN towels and sheets!

Although our day is not over, it has now started to rain in earnest so we will choose a movie and continue to read our books to complete the day.

Hope that your day is as full of expeditions and love as mine xo

Those chocolate bombs look “dangerously” delicious — did they “explode” with flavour!?
Glad you had fun making those. It was a good activity for a rainy day!

  2. They really were delicious--very rich! We are thinking of you again today as Teal's favourite chocolate cake is also Leo's. Read Olive's blog to find about it. To be submitted later...
